Potowotomie Trail Hike

Posted by Jason Bisel on March 29, 2015 at 1:15 PM

The Troop had a great time at the 2015 Potowotomie Trail hike. We had a cold night the first evening, but all the scouts bundled up and stayed warm. The lake front still has ice mounds all along the shore, which makes for an interesting landscape. It was great to have some Webelos join us for the hike and meals.

The local raccoons in the dunes were not timid about visiting the campsite or the dumpster, as they were sleeping there in the morning as we dumped the trash. It was great that the rain held off until everything was packed, put away, and we were well on our way.

During this campout, each patrol cooked for themselves, as well as shopping for themselves. Everyone seemed to have plenty to eat. Thanks Badger patrol for sharing your meatball sandwichs.
