Scouts BSA Troop 48 - Crown Point, IN

Thank you Crown Point Community Foundation for our new trailer. 

Largest summer camp ever for Troop 48. 39 youth and 15 adults attended Owasippe Scout Reservation. Many scouts and leaders said this was the best year ever. 

Klondike Derby 2019 was a success. All the boys did a great job braving the snow and wind. While many units left after dinner Saturday the boys elected to stay the second night. They really are amazing scouts. We came in second place this year. Good job Scouts! 

Great time at Potowotomi Trail Hike this weekend. New scouts had a great time on the hike. Little chilly, bit all the kids made it through like champs. 

Troop 48 is growing again. Over the past couple of months three new scouts have transfered to our unit bringing our current count to 33 scouts. In a few weeks Pack 48 (which has over 110 Cub Scouts) will he holding its Blue and gold Dinner. We are expecting to receive 15 Arrow of Light Scouts crossing over to Boy Scouts. This will bring our number to.. welll.. 48 scouts. Its an exiting time to be part of Troop 48. 

Waterfall glen campout this weekend was good. Despite not being able to do the orienteering course, we were able to go on a nice hike, and had a great time at camp. We even got some rank advancements done.
